Inspire a generation → Michael Phelps (swimming)
Phelps has won 15 gold medals, the most in Olympic history. He’s won medals at three straight Olympic games, with eight coming in Athens (six gold, two bronze) and eight coming in Beijing (all gold, still an all-time record for one games). Phelps has won three in London so far, and he’s not done yet. He has yet to compete in the 100 meter butterfly, the 200 meter individual medley, and the 4 x 100 meter medley relay, so he still has plenty of time to up his medal total at these games.
